Garden Warfare heading to Xbox and PC

EA announced a new Plants Vs. Zombies game in a very Battlefield-esque teaser.  The game is going to be a multiplayer plant-based shooter.  It’s coming first to Xbox One with 360 and PC ports following.  No official word on PlayStation releases, but it’s likely they will follow the PC release.

Far Cry Classic heading to XBLA

Microsoft’s digital distribution platform will be the home to the re-release of the first Far Cry game under the banner Far Cry Classic.  This re-release is heading to XBLA for 560 Microsoft Points ($7) this summer; Ubisoft is describing it as the “ultimate console version.”  This re-release of the classic open-world game is going to boast updated visuals featuring  “stunningly realistic foliage” and “real-time day and night cycles.”  No word yet on a PS3 release.

Star Wars Battlefront

At their E3 conference, EA brought DICE out to tease us all with the much desired third installment in the Star Wars Battlefront franchise.  The teaser shows little more than snowspeeder and the foot of an Imperial Walker, but, hey, it’s exciting news!

Tom Clancy’s The Division announced

At their press conference today, Ubisoft closed with the announcement of a new Tom Clancy branded game:  The Division.  A third person shooter set in a world torn apart by a pandemic.  The game was introduced with a teaser and an intriguing gameplay demo, both posted below.

Watch_Dogs E3 2013 Trailer

The more I see of this game, the more excited I get for it… and I’m really damn excited.  This trailer shows off the seedy human trafficking side of the fictional Chicago.  Crazy stuff ensues.  Just watch.

Quantum Break E3 Trailer

Remedy Entertainment’s Sam Lake took the stage at Microsoft’s E3 conference and showed us a scene from their upcoming Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break.  As a long-time fan of the studio and Sam Lake’s incredible storytelling, I’m more than a little excited for this groundbreaking title to launch alongside its Xbox One television counterpart.

Respawn’s Titanfall (officially) revealed

Microsoft closed their conference with the announcement that the Xbox One will be available this November with a $500 price tag and Titanfall’s official reveal.  A trailer prefaced Respawn Entertainment’s stage debut and a gameplay demo.  Titanfall will be an Xbox console exclusive and is set to be released spring 2014.  I’ll post videos when they become available.

Master Chief returns on Xbox One (Update: Trailer)

Microsoft’s next Halo game is heading to Xbox One.  The reveal began with a cloaked figure wandering a desolate wasteland.  This figure was later revealed to be the one and only Spartan 117:  Master Chief.  A cryptic reveal with some non-information shared after the teaser.  The game will be an FPS, feature the Chief, and run at 60 frames per second.

Xbox Live Updates

Xbox Live has some new features including sharing your account with all users on your console, paying with local currency and moving away from Microsoft Points, and an unlimited friends list.  The account sharing will be nice and save people money and people have been clamoring for years about moving away from Microsoft Points and the friends list cap.
