Telltale’s Walking Dead Season 3 trailer

Telltale Games has released an in-engine trailer for the upcoming third season of their The Walking Dead series of games.  The game will be set a few years after Season 2, and Clementine is confirmed to be returning.  Players with saves for the first two seasons will find the decisions they made have an impact on the story in Season 3.  Along with Clementine, players will be taking control of a new character, Javier, who is described on the Telltale blog as “a fellow survivor who has been through hell, and has managed to remain alive as long as Clem.”  Little else was revealed about the game, but it is expected to be released this fall.

The Walking Dead: Season 2 trailer is live

The second season of Telltale’s award winning The Walking Dead is coming to consoles, PC, and mobile soon and to drum up some excitement for what is sure to be a heavily emotional experience, they’ve released this brief teaser.  The first season was easily some of the finest adventure gaming I’ve ever experienced with some incredibly heavy moments (the season finale was just brutal), so I’m really looking forward to what this next season has to offer.

The Walking Dead companion series planned for a 2015 debut

The Walking Dead is huge.  The TV show is one of the highest rated and most watched series on television and last year’s videogame adaptation by Telltale won several game of the year awards (not the Activision published Survival Instinct that was universally panned).  The comic that spawned all these new properties is still running strong ten years later.  So, with the popularity of the franchise, it’s no surprise that AMC is developing a spin-off of The Walking Dead.

The show is expected to premiere in 2015 and will feature new characters and stories.  Series creator Robert Kirkman will serve as the companion series’ executive producer alongside Gale Ann Hurd and David Alpert.  Kirkman has expressed his excitement for being able to explore new stories in the universe in this new medium.  Whatever is in store with this new series, I’m sure it will deliver.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days trailer

Upcoming standalone episode in Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 1 now has a trailer.  It shows off the five characters that will be the focus of 400 Days with the promise that this expansion is “coming soon.”

The Walking Dead: 400 Days coming this summer

400days_keyart_with_infoThe next episode in Telltale’s award winning The Walking Dead game is subtitled 400 Days and will be heading to pretty much everything this summer.  Choices players made in previous episodes will carry over into the new game which will feature five new characters in their very own stories.  Telltale suggested that some of the characters the player meets in 400 Days might show up in Season Two with all the choices they make in the new episode also impacting that storyline.
